Project Objective
The objective of this project is to create a short video demonstrating the practical application of editing techniques covered during the Adobe Premiere Pro course.
The topic of the video is open (e.g., a report, presentation of a place, hobby, event, product advertisement, short story, vlog, etc.).
The project may be completed individually or in teams of two students.
Materials
The video should include:
- footage recorded by the student(s),
- optionally, materials available online.
At least 30 seconds of the final video must consist of footage recorded by the student(s).
Technical Requirements
The video must meet the following requirements:
- duration of approximately 90 seconds (between 1 and 2 minutes),
- a clearly planned beginning and ending of the film, both visually and in terms of audio,
- the film must not consist of a single continuous shot,
- editing based on multiple shots and sequences,
- thoughtful use of transition effects between selected shots,
- background music,
- narration in at least one of the following forms:
- voice-over narration,
- on-camera speech/interview,
- on-screen text guiding the viewer through the story,
- use of Auto Ducking,
- animated titles and/or subtitles,
- properly balanced audio levels throughout the project,
- use of at least one advanced editing technique:
- Split Video,
- Mask,
- Track Matte Key,
- Green Screen (chroma key),
- or another technique approved by the instructor.
Assessment Criteria
- technical quality of editing and use of required tools,
- storytelling, structure, and coherence,
- audio production and sound quality,
- visual quality and overall presentation,
- creativity and originality.
Meeting all technical requirements is a prerequisite for receiving the highest grade.
